Projected light and mirrors are used to create optical illusions that let us see and imagine the morphing shapes that are, or maybe aren’t, really there. In his talk, Gaspar Battha will present his work in the context of the symposium theme. He will share with us his influences and the processes behind his work, as he elaborates on the materiality and immateriality of the optical illusions established through his installation.
Gaspar Battha is a Berlin based freelance media designer and artist. He focuses on new media technologies and its uses in art and design, while he creates motion graphics and projection mapping projects for artistic, commercial and advertising purposes. Next to several different studies he followed in Berlin and Vienna he graduated with a Masters degree in Art and Media at the University of Arts in Berlin.
