The premiere of Zeno van den Broek’s AV performance ‘Divergence': a synergy between sound, vision, and space
We are thrilled to announce Zeno van den Broek as our third and final AV performer for the FIBER Festival 2015 evening programme. Alongside confirmed live performers London Modular Alliance and Microseq, Zeno will transform Radion’s screening space into an immersive subterranean experience with the premiere of his performance ‘Divergence.’
‘Divergence’ explores the destruction and deviation of pure sound sources such as sine waves and white noise, as well as minimal visual elements such as vector drawings and grids. By developing site-specific patterns of sonic interference, Zeno transforms spaces into textural masterpieces. In ‘Divergence,’ sound, visuals, and architecture merge. The result is an intense sensory reaction and heightened spatial awareness.
Biography
Originally trained as an architect, Zeno is dedicated to exploring the richness and complexity of spatiality through different modes of expression. With ‘Divergence,’ he continues to bend our tactile and mental awareness of space, forging new possibilities of subterranean existence.
