During the Friday programme FIBER invites Berlin-based Peter Kirn from the influential online blog CDM (Create Digital Music) back to Amsterdam to host an audiovisual & music technology interview salon at A Lab. Local and international audiovisual artists, producers and VJ’s get the opportunity to present their work and be interviewed by Kirn. This event is open to anyone interested in the combination of sound, moving images and the use of technology within this domain.

Biography
Peter Kirn, born in Kentucky and nowadays based in Berlin, is an audiovisual artist, journalist, and technologist. Classically trained in composition and piano, he now focuses on live electronic performance. He is the founder of CDM, a widely-read daily site that explores creative technology, and has contributed to Macworld, Popular Science, De:Bug, Keyboard, and others. He teaches and develops open creative tools, including co-creating the open source MeeBlip synthesizer.

In two sessions Peter Kirn will interview artists and technologists about their projects, practices and uncover their tricks of the trade.
