Cyspe [Field Records, NL] is the Amsterdam based producer, DJ and sound artist Robin Koek. Devoted listeners of Field Records releases and regulars of atmospheric techno-nights might already know Robin’s sound as one part of the duo Artefakt.

With Cyspe, Koek takes his sound into another direction; his fascination for architecture and cybernetica forms the basis of his sonic output. As he describes himself: “Sounds produced by the machines of the future, for inhabitants of a cloud society.”
For this collaboration between FIBER and Field Records, Cyspe will play a set of deeper and more ambient sounds, but with far away techno aesthetics. Expect a journey through futuristic sounds and fictional landscapes, constructed of motion, form, geometrics and expanding dimensions.

Field Records keeps up the Dutch tradition of publishing deep, Detroit-inspired electronic music. Built on minimalism and modesty, the boutique label has expanded into a consortium for quality since first emerging in 2008. Artists such as Artefakt, Delta Funktionen, DJ Sprinkles, Steffi, Mark Du Mosch and many other assured talents all previously appeared on the label with sounds that range from deep and classic house to more rough-edged and raw techno. This year proves to be fruitful given its full-length album releases by L’estasi Dell’oro, DARFDHS and Kartei, with more EP’s to follow.
