“As software/code increasingly structures the contemporary world, curiously, it also withdraws, and becomes harder and harder for us to focus on as it is embedded, hidden, off-shored or merely forgotten about.” David M. Berry

With this year’s video gallery we show how artists beautifully express hidden landscapes by using single channel time-based media to create or document their work. Evermore, contemporary artists have been taking the documentation of their artworks seriously. Not only does the translation into another medium provide the work with a digital afterlife, it extends the reach of the original artwork to new engaged online audiences and surfaces in new contexts.
We relocate these works by presenting the video gallery inside a dark chamber at Radion, and take visitors on a journey through the depths of the ever-changing landscapes of The Subterranean by means of an ongoing screening of single channel videos, project documentations, animations and software-based art made in either 2014 or 2015.
