Our evening and night programme will take place at Amsterdam’s newest industrial club and cultural space Radion. Now that TrouwAmsterdam – our former festival location – has fallen, we pack our bags and move south to resurrect FIBER Festival 2015 from this concrete cultural bunker. So, what can you expect?
At Radion we’ll present a line-up of experimental performers, DJs and artworks, which all reflect this year’s theme The Subterranean with their deep and darkened sounds. Different from the day programme, this night out is all about atmospheric audiovisual experiences, in which we combine sonic power with visual art.
From 21:00 – 23:00 we’ll start with the performance programme at Radion’s newest screening room. London Modular Alliance kicks off the evening with a rare modular synth set. Its members Koova, Yes Effect and Pip Williams create an intense live-show with a huge setup of self-built modular gear. Next up is the brand new AV performance ‘False Awakenings’ by Amsterdam based Pandelis Diamantides. He opens up a dark and complex world: we enter a generated cityscape run by computer systems, transverse a digital landscape, and are overwhelmed by subsonic, renegade sounds.
At night we dance our way into the The Subterranean with music by non other than Berlin’s illustrious and unconventional Felix K (Dystopian), dancefloor-killer John Osborn (TANSTAAFL PLANETS, DE) and the one-and-only pioneer Convextion (Matrix, US), who will join us all the way from the US for a unique live set. Those of you who attended the ADE Breakfast Club party in 2013 will know what this master will bring to the dancefloor… Madness.
Need a break from dancing? Together with Amsterdam-based Field Records we’ll be hosting a second room where G-String, Cyspe and AHPR will showcase their ‘chill-out’ cuts, solely aimed at providing a pleasurable listening experience to the listeners. Or you can kick back, watch the Video Gallery with video art or visit one of the installations inside the building from Dutch up-and-coming talents like Mischa Daams and Daniel Berio.
