During the two days of FIBER Festival, you will be be sucked into immersive installations in the exhibition, participate in workshops or get lost in audiovisual performances, DJ & live sets at Radion. For those who seek to dive deeper into the subject, there will be a symposium with keynotes, artist talks and panels by artists, designers, coders and theorists from the Netherlands and abroad.
SAT 16 MAY / 21:00 - 23:00 | The evening and night programme at Radion starts with audiovisual and music performances from both international and local performers. Expect a selection of artists, who will perform complex algorithmic and modular systems in order to create an overwhelming sonic and visual experience.
SAT 16 MAY / 23:00 - 7:00 | The festival night programme merges techno and experimental electronic music, visuals and immersive installations into a unified experience. Not only do we present a night-filling selection of DJ and live-sets, but together with Field Records we will dedicate an exquisite room to pleasurable listening ‘chill-out’ cuts. Enter the hallways of Amsterdam’s newest industrial hotspot Radion and dance your way into The Subterranean.
FRI 15 - 18 MAY / OPENING HOURS MONDAY: 12:00 - 16:00 | Free entrance | At A Lab, a nonconformist space will be created where the often hidden technological layers that mediate our modern lives are to be explored. These layers are visualised in a qualitative selection of cutting-edge installations and video art.
SAT 16 MAY / 10:00 - 18:00 | At Volkshotel, in the Houten Zaal, a gathering of forward-thinking artists, designers and researchers meets a passionate audience. One fully packed day of keynotes, panels and artist talks addressing The Subterranean festival theme. The symposium is hosted by Coded Matter(s), FIBER's ongoing event series, in which the influence of software, code and digital infrastructures on art and society is investigated. Full programme here
